Memories

I was cleaning out the garage and came across a container full of old pictures I had in frames from college.  This one jumped out at me... wow - my little brother sure has grown up!  :)

Door Makeovers

One of my most awesome gifts from Keith this year was a new pantry door that he BUILT!  Not even kidding.  It is awesome.  I have been searching for old doors to go on my pantry for years.  I wanted one at our old house and I just brought the dream with me to the new house.  The problem was that I wanted a door with a window and honestly I don't think an old 24 inch windowed door exist!  So, my husband built me a door and it is AMAZING!

I got it painted and Keith got it installed before our Christmas company came.  It is perfect!  I just need to distress it a bit to make it look old!  My parents have been holding on to their old door from the lakehouse for me for at least a couple of years.  We finally found a place it would work and with Pappy and Kevin's help, Keith got the pocket door to the office replaced with the old lakehouse door!  It needs a good cleaning and I think I will paint and distress it too but for now, it's installed and I love them both!

While Pappy and Kevin were here they went about making Drew's bedroom door into a Dutch door for me.  I LOVE IT!  For some odd reason it is much easier to keep the bottom half closed but the air in his room won't get stale PLUS it keeps the dogs out.  The plan is to do the play room door and the girls door as well.

Gingerbread House

Ava was so excited to have gotten a gingerbread house at the Church Christmas Exchange - she wouldn't let anyone help her put it together but Aunt Megan!

Present Wrapping

Drew had great fun helping us wrap presents this year!  :)

Carli actually helped me wrap a few presents and labeled them herself!  Next year maybe I can do what my mom use to do...put the gifts in a box and then have your daughters wrap them all!  :)

To reward Carli for all her hard work and as a good excuse, we may have detoured by Sonic and the grocery store when we went to Harry's for Keith.  :)

Christmas with the Hays'

Naggy, Pappy, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Megan came to our house for Christmas this year.  We were so thankful since Drew is not a good little traveler yet!  In an effort to improve his attitude, Naggy and Pappy bought him a new car seat.  He's pretty pleased...for now!  :)

The girls had a great time with everyone at their house.  Drew even showed off his new swing!  Naggy, Pappy and Aunt Megan got roped into jumping on the trampoline a lot!  :)

We had our Christmas with everyone on Christmas morning.  Santa brought the girls new bikes!

Drew had lots of fun with tissue paper and wrapping paper.  Uncle Kevin and Aunt Megan got him taken care of with some Texas Rangers gear.

Carli got a spiffy new jacket (since Sadie ate hers) and shoes.  Ava got crutches and an American Girl Doll.

Momma and Drew got a nap!  :)

We had an AWESOME time with everyone but it came to an end sooner than we had planned.  A nasty storm was coming through and everyone was trying to get home before it hit.  We sure did enjoy having everyone together!

Christmas at Home

We had our Christmas at home on Chirstmas Eve.  We followed our 4 present rule, and even with 4 presents each it still seemed like we had a lot of gifts!

Ace and Shauntee with Santa's gifts...kittens!

After the excitement of our kittens, we opened our stockings...

Finally, we took our picture in front of the tree then it was present time!

We had a GREAT morning!  After presents we cleaned up, played with our new goodies and waited for Naggy and Pappy to get to our house.  :)
