Saturday, we went to Aggieland. Voluntarily! Crazy right? But some of the girls from Carli's softball team were going to watch the Aggie's play Oklahoma State and asked if we wanted to go. We were surprised with the girls said yes! So we went. The car ride there was the longest part of the trip but we managed with a pit stop or two and a whole lot of singing and finding tractors and cows for Drew!
I was very surprised that the girls actually watched the game. It was a good game to watch. Lots of hits and plays. The Aggies run ruled Oklahoma. And I have to admit, the Aggie softball girls did an amazing job of making the time and effort to meet their little fans.
After playing an awesome game, they came out of the locker room and were bombarded by a crowd of little softball players. They each took time to talk to the girls signing balls and taking pictures. Our girls were in awe and as parents, we were so thankful to these older girls for not only being awesome players on the field, but awesome role models off the field.
So while we aren't normally Aggie fans, today we became Aggie Softball fans because these girls helped to make the game of softball a little more fun and real for our little softball girls!
