Happy Birthday to Kayla!

We love our Kayla so much!  Saturday was her birthday and the girls wanted to make her a gift.  So I found an idea on Pinterest and since my girls have become pros at hand print art, we got to work!

First they painted their canvases blue.  This was a hit b/c I usually don't let them mix paints and go to town when we "make a present" so they were in heaven using two different shades of blue and white.  Ava even attempted to clean her paint plate!

Serious concentration when she sticks her tongue out!

Look Mom, I cleaned my plate!

My perfectionist finally let loose and mixed up the colors - notice the paint on her plate is not mixed.

We used their hand prints to make a sun.  Their only complaint is that the sun had no pink in it!

Ta-Da!  Kayla is their sunshine!  Their Mom should work on her centering ability...but other than that I thought it turned out pretty cute!  Plus the girls really did make the majority of it.

We also made her some homemade strawberry cupcakes.  They were pretty yummy...we had to do a taste test!  :)   Here are the girls with "their Kayla."  And yes, they are cold.  Who'd have thought it'd be in the 50's in May?

Happy Birthday Kayla!  We love you!
