Donuts and Manicures with Shauntee

On Monday morning the girls awoke to find Shauntee had prepared her traditional elf breakfast of powdered donut snowmen and chocolate milk.  She also managed to create her very custom table cloth using wrapping paper!

We actually had to get the girls out of bed Monday morning so it took awhile for them to wake up a bit and it to register that they were getting to have a lot of sugar for breakfast!  But when it clicked they were pretty happy!

And chocolate milk out of a tin glass...doesn't get much better than that!  :)

Oiy - it is only the third day of having Shauntee back and Momma and Daddy almost forgot!  This morning the girls awoke to find Shauntee had tied up Ken and put tape over his mouth so she could paint his toenails!  She also left a note that blamed Carli and Ava!

After breakfast, we got out our Bible and read a few scriptures to Shauntee about not listening to others and lying and how God wants us to listen and take responsibility for what we do.  I was pretty pleased that Carli listened very intently and even asked once if not listening to Ken made Shauntee a "fool" like that Bible said.  This elf thing isn't so bad...and on top of Carli's questions, Ava asked to pray for Shauntee to do a better job listening to others and not telling stories.

Perhaps Shauntee will show the girls an act of kindness tomorrow...that is if Momma and Daddy don't forget to help her out!
