Hi, today was Alto day and the first day to pick dewberries at the old house by the chicken houses. We did that till about lunch, then we had to go to the mobile home for lunch and a nap. We had been home for about an hour or 2 when a tornado warning popped up and Pa busted in and yelled " Ya'll pack up your stuff and get in the car!!" Grammy went in and woke Maggie up while the rest of us got the stuff and into the car. Pa was the only one who knew where we were going, the Alto food center. Ava and I where so scared that she moved over and squeezed my hand tight. When we arrived, Mom wasn't there yet but was right behind us. My heart was beating and I felt like I was going to throw up!! While we were there, I found a stair case and went up it with Grammy. We found 2 offices and a break room, turns out that place used to be a grocery store. Also, in one of the offices there was a safe bolted to the floor and it had a phone no. on it. We didn't call it though, bc we had to leave. See you later!
