Our second day of vacation was Sunday. We all got up and went to church that morning in Galvaston. We had put lunch in the crock pot before we left, so after church we came home to get a bite to eat. Grammy & Pa were on their way down from having stopped to pick up Grandma in Conroe. The girls could barely control their excitement. We wanted to wait to go to the beach until Grammy & Pa got there, God agreed since He sent a nice summer shower that afternoon. Not to be deterred, the girls got to work filling water balloons thanks to the gift Uncle Danny had brought them after church. They even went outside in the rain to practice throwing them off the deck in preparation for Grammy & Pa's arrival. When they finally showed up the girls were ready! Grammy & Pa were good sports and even threw a few back up at us!
After our thrilling water balloon fight, the rain had stopped and the girls wasted no time convincing everyone it was beach time! They had waited long enough! We were down by the San Luis Pass and we were very surprised and pleased with how big the beach was and it was actually relatively clean of seaweed compared to some of the beaches we had been to on Galvaston in the past. The girls had a blast running in the water and playing in the sand!
We bought a tube already aired up that morning before church in Galvaston. It earned it's $5 price tag. We all enjoyed riding the waves and pulling the girls in it all week!
After dinner, it was definitely time for bed! Day two was great fun and we couldn't wait to see what day three had to offer! :)
