Homemade Dishwasher Detergent
Found at ehow.com
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup liquid castile soap
1 lemon
Combine vinegar, water and soap in an empty bottle.
Prick skin of the lemon and put it in microwave for 10-20 seconds. Roll the lemon under the palm of your hand on a tabletop to release the juice. Cut a small opening in one end of the lemon, and squeeze one TBSP of juice into the container.
Shake mixture to combine it.
Use one TBSP of detergent per dishwasher load. If the dishes are extra dirty or a heave load of pots and pans, you may need to use two TBSP.
