Happy Birthday Kayla!

Sunday was Kayla's birthday and it just so happened that the girls already had a slumber party planned with her on Monday night.  We called on Sunday with the plan to sing Happy Birthday to Kayla but the girls got "stage freight" and ended up just talking which I think was just as good.  :)  Monday after school we made Kayla's birthday present, an inspiration jar full of quotes and some comments from the girls.  The girls drew her a pictures as a card and then quickly packed their bags.  One whole bag full of stuffed animals, actually two if you count the extra backpack.  They were beyond excited to go see Kayla! 

I think my children are preparing Kayla for her job as a teacher.  The first time they had a sleep over, Carli peed in Kayla's bed.  She hadn't had an accident for a week before and for the four weeks afterward...but for Kayla...  :)  This trip Carli was on antibiotics for strep, she was feeling much better and not contagious but still had to take the icky medicine - which Kayla helped her out with no problem.  They ate donuts, swam and got to go to Bueno.  Then Carli christened Kayla's apartment by getting sick...three times.  Bless Kayla's heart, she didn't even blink an eye.  The only msg I got was just an FYI but we have it taken care of.  The consensus was that Carli had too much sun and food on top of playing hard and her tummy objected.  I am not sure Kayla will want my children to come back to see her at this rate!  :/
