Making Uncle Kevin Proud!

One Saturday morning, Keith let me sleep in a little bit and the girls were with Grammy and Pa.  Keith decided to dress Drew as a little Texas Longhorn and posted it to facebook.  Uncle Kevin who is NEVER on facebook was quick to point out the error of Drew's ways and insisted that he would get the boy proper clothing!

To put Uncle Kevin's mind at ease, Drew had a blow out and insisted on being changed to a bit more appropriate attire...

When Drew got to meet Uncle Kevin at Thanksgiving, Uncle Kevin came bearing gifts - new clothes from Baylor!

Uncle Kevin wanted to make sure the girls were properly attired as well, and got them some pretty awesome shirts!  :)

A Little Creativity

Carli is definitely my perfectionist child and very creative.  We were prepping to go to the store and I was pumping myself up with positivity b/c going to the store with all three kids is very challenging in more ways than one, when I went into the playroom and found Carli had drawn these on her white board...

After oohing and aahing over her artwork, we loaded up to go shopping.  A friend had suggested I print off some BINGO cards for shopping for the girls.  It worked like a charm and kept them involved instead of bored!  They worked hard to find every item and we even back tracked to make sure we got them all!

Shopping done and all survived...

The next day I was eating lunch and entertaining Drew and Carli came in asking for my phone.  She wanted to take a picture of her bed.  This is what she came back with and said...look Mom at how messy Ava's bed is...and look at how nice and neat mine is!  Ha!!  Got to love her.

Rockwall Family Thanksgiving

Saturday we made our way up to Rockwall for our annual get together with the Naggy's sisters and their families.  The girls were so excited to get to see Isabella again, and Drew was very excited to get to see Pappy again and meet Uncle Kevin and Aunt Megan for the first time.

It rained most of the day or was wet out so the kids weren't able to play on the big inflatable as planned but they did extremely well for having to be inside most of the day.  It was a great day full of visiting and catching up with each other.

We got to meet our new cousin Reed who is about four months older than Drew.  He's a cute one!

The babies tended to be the center of attention!  :)

We had a great day and enjoyed getting to see everyone.  We got our annual family pictures on the stairs done before we headed home with Naggy in tow!

Not to be left out - these three had an absolute blast with eachother!  Wished we were closer so they could play together more often.

She's BACK!

Shauntea made her grand appearance tonight!  The girls spent the night with Grammy and Pa so Keith, Drew and I spent the day getting things ready for the elf's return.  We did a mini scavenger hunt that ended in their room where Shauntea had finished the chalkboards the girls had been asking for...

Much of our day was spent searching for old frames that we could use to frame out the chalk boards.  We finally found some and came home to get them cleaned up.  Drew was a great help - good thing he likes to be outside!  :)

We tried just painting the walls with chalkboard paint due to time but I think we will go back and paint some metal flashing so it will be a chalkboard and magnetic.

After the chalkboard creation was done, we put together a quick little scavenger hunt that started out with a letter from Santa in our mail box.  (Double click to make it larger to read.)

First Shauntea got the girls a gift - new sweatshirt...that they will have to grow into b/c they are too large...oops!  :)

Then they rushed to Drew's room to see if Shauntea was in there only to find an attempt to make Drew an Elf too!

And finally off to their room where they found their elf and her final return gift!

Welcome back Shauntea!  Let the fun begin!  :)

King Family Thanksgiving/Christmas

We had Christmas at Thanksgiving this year with my extended family.  Grammy hosted at her house and we all had a great time catching up with everyone.  The food was good and the company was excellent as always.  The kids wore themselves out and their favorite part of the whole day was opening presents!  :)

Aunt Carolyn gave each kid their own personalized pillowcases!  They've slept with them every night since!

The girls got neat cups, bike helments and a cool yard yahtzee game too!

Drew slept through most of the present opening but had no problem letting Uncle Tone hold him with someone else opened his gifts.  He got some new clothes and toys.

Drew was a little overwhelmed with the crowd of ppl and was tired.  He didn't appreciate Pa and Uncle Danny "wahhing" with him!  :)

We had a great day and always enjoy a good visit with aunts, uncles and all the cousins!
