Cookies for GT

The girls are both in GT classes and as a class the adopt a resident at the local nursing home each year.  They came home with a note asking for donations so they could buy some gifts for their resident.  I'm not very fond of going around asking for money and took the opportunity to teach the girls about a little fundraising.  They each baked up a batch of cookies and I threw in some too.  In between putting décor on the tree, we baked!

Then we packaged up all the cookies and decided the girls would make a video for facebook.  Originally we had planned to go around the neighborhood to sell the cookies but it was rainy and cold, so we utilized technology!

The got an awesome response and even a really large order from their hitting coach!  We ended up whipping up an extra batch of peanut butter cookies just for him!

They sold out of all their cookies by the end of the weekend and have raised about $100.  They were so pumped and now want to do another fundraiser.  They said they'd clean houses for money, I told them to start with their playroom and we'd go from there!  Although Ava's offer of cleaning toilets for $5 per toilet doesn't seem like such a bad offer!
