Last Soccer Game & Party

This past Saturday we enjoyed watching Ava's last soccer game and celebrating an awesome first season with her teammates.  Grammy, Pa and Uncle Tone all came to watch Ava's play soccer.  Ava did touch the ball twice and even made a move to actually kick it.  :)  She did not get bashful having people there to watch her, if anything she did a better job of moving around the field.  For our first season, we think Ava did awesome!

Ava had a lot of fun this season.  She enjoyed playing soccer in the backyard, and practicing on Tuesday evenings.  She even enjoyed game day though she rarely moved toward the action on the field.

Carli was an awesome cheerleader and encouragement to her sister.  She has even asked to play next season.  Woohoo!

Here is the whole crew at the team meeting before their last game.  Ava got to play 3 of the 4 quarters.

There she is!  She would follow the ball around but was not too keen on getting in the thick of things when it came to fighting over the soccer ball.  But she did pay attention and not day dream or play in the dirt.  Small victories.

Carli and Ava most enjoyed having Grammy, Pa and Uncle Tone at the soccer game.  Lots of smiles and laughter.  Love it!

After our game, we went over to the Whitehouse Park and the kids enjoyed playing together for a bit before having some pizza and cupcakes for lunch.

And finally, after playing, pizza and cupcakes, it was time for trophies.  Ava was so excited for a trophy and Carli was so excited too!  :)

And finally, the soccer princess and her trophy.

Our first season of organized sports and we had a blast.  Ava and Carli can't wait for next season.  :)
