Ava quickly figured out that Keith's co-workers would let her get two handfuls of candy and more if she wanted. I ended up carrying her bucket so she could use both hands for gathering candy. Carli wasn't so sure of this and would get only one or two pieces compared to Ava's fistfuls.
Manda works with Keith and the girls always are asking about her. Carli will send pictures she draws for Manda via Keith. Manda has two little boys the same ages as Carli and Ava. Both girls got a little shy but they were excited to see Manda. Ava was on a roll getting candy and didn't think twice about going over to Manda's desk and reaching for some candy. Manda (in a teasing voice) jumped up and said, "Don't you get that!" Ava immediately cried. She was terrified. Poor Manda didn't mean to scare her. It was really kind of funny. Ava was totally done trick or treating after that. :) A couple weeks later when we had to go back to Trane for a flu shot, Ava asked to go see Manda so she could tell her that she wasn't scared any more. :)
Two cute little princess fairies...I think I'll keep them both!
We did not take the girls trick or treating that night. We had plenty of candy and Carli's reluctance to go from desk to desk at Trane was just proof that she most likely would not go house to house either. :) We went to bed early instead.
