Beware if you ever go shopping with Ava, she will latch on to one thing she wants and she absolutely does not give up. She did this to Grammy a couple of weeks ago and while Grammy was trying to just make a quick run to the Dollar Store, Ava was on a mission to get a talking bird. When she did not find it, she pouted profusely and managed to bring up their shopping shortcomings in the weeks that followed anytime shopping was brought up.
So when Carli came down with Strep and could not go to church on Sunday, Ava was quick to ask her Daddy to PLEASE take her to the toy store to get the bird she so desperately wanted. We compromised and Keith said he'd take her but she had to use her own money to buy the bird.
After a successful shopping trip, Ava came home and excitedly presented Carli with a bird of her own. We sent Grammy the following picture to which Grammy replied, "Bless Keith's heart!"
