2020 Carli's COVID19 Dairy: Day 7

Hi, today started off tragic. It was raining and there were high winds so bad there were tornado warnings every where!! Thankfully there were no tornados and no one was hurt. We did have to go to our tornado safe spot though. After the storm, the Sun came out and branches and sticks were every where. The day got much better, it was Easter and we took pictures and hunted eggs at Grammy and Pa's house. I'll see you later!

2020 Carli's COVID19 Dairy: Day 6

Hi, Today it was supposed to rain. But it didn't. Today was also pretty funny. We cut holes in cupcake liners then put it on the chickens like skirts!! It was so cute! I call one of the chicks Mexican chick bc she wore a Mexican looking skirt. See you later, tater!!

2020 Carli's COVID19 Dairy: Day 5

Hi, so today was Alto day!! We mainly played outside and swung on the swings. At the end of the day, Aunt Holli and Uncle Tone came with Holli's family. They were there for about 45 minutes. After that we were just hanging out and Ava brought up Easter. Grammy had this idea: We meet Logan and Eady at the Lake house Saturday night and hunt easter eggs. So, I called Uncle Andy and told him about it. He and Mom talked then decided to do it next Saturday. It was a plan. Bye!!

2020 Carli's COVID19 Dairy: Day 4

Hi, so today was a little different. Dad went with us on our walk and drew the Momma elephant while I drew the baby. We decorated the McClures (She is a nurse) driveway. Mr. Jeremy Head (goes to church with me and lives alone) left a msg for me about a letter I sent him. He sure is sweet!!! I get why Mom gets us to write letters to the older people at church, now.

I also had an big entrance to my lesson. Mom, Maggie, & Drew drove me and Ava up the hill on the lawn mower. It was sooo much fun!!

2020 Carli's COVID 19 Dairy: Day 3

✋Hi,again! Today was Alto day. We went to Grammy and Pas house, which is the only other place we get to go to. Mom got to go to her work, & we had to do school. We got to watch the Miracle Worker. It was about Helen Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan.

2020 Carli's COVID19 Dairy: Day 2

✋Hi again! Today was...lets just say a little crazy. Like every other day we went on a walk and decorated the Berry-somethings driveway. At 10:30 I went to have a sewing lesson till 11:45. Then Mom took all the kids to get ice cream. 🍦🍦We did get Ice cream..... but we also brought home a surprise for Dad , it was chickens!!🐥🐤🐣 The chicks are staying in a rabbit🐇 cage in our garage. What the funny part is, when mom sent dad a text about getting chicks all he sent back was a thumbs up!!👍 My family has gone crazy!!! See you tomorrow!!!✋💓💓

2020 Carli's COVID19 Dairy: Day 1

😷😷So actually this is quarantine day 22, but I'm a little behind. Being stuck in the house all day can be kinda fun or majorly loud because of my siblings. Earlier today, Mom went to the store and surprisingly found paper towels. *Toilet Paper, GremX, and other cleaning supplies are low at this time* We take daily morning walks. On those walks, we decorate the older people in our neighbor hoods driveways. Today we did Ms. Kathy's. I got to draw a sea turtle! Anyway, see you tomorrow!!❤❤✋

"You May See Me Struggle...

Ava's teacher Mrs. Knighton sent her some work to do each day this week and below is the final result of her work.  She was to write a composition with the prompt:  "Write about an item you own and tell why it is important to you."  She was to only give one reason why it was important and then provide a thorough support for it.

"You may see me struggle, but you will never see me quit."  I wear that quote everyday.  It's on a very important sweatshirt.  Here's why it's important to me.

I like my sweatshirt because it reminds me to never give up.  Once I caught four games in a row and couldn't feel my legs.  I got cold and put on my sweatshirt and I remembered to never give up.

My sweatshirt reminds me to encourage my friends when one of my friends are hurt or want to quite.  It always helps me remember.  They remember too.

Now that you see, I love my sweatshirt.  It helps in my life a lot.  I hope you have something like it.

Happy 2nd Birthday Maggie Reese

To my sweet Maggie Reese,

I can honestly say that you have been a blessing from the very first day I heard your heartbeat. You taught me that I cannot have complete control of everything.  You made me trust God. You made me depend on others. You made me see what a completely blessed person I am to be surrounded by so many who loved and prayed for you the whole time I was pregnant. Just when I thought I had no more to learn about having a baby, here you came!

In some ways you were my easiest baby, but in all fairness that's probably bc your daddy and I could care less what anyone thought about you sleeping in our room, or nursing on demand, fourth child syndrome I suppose. We just survived and enjoyed you!

The saying don't blink, because kids grow so fast gets more and more true with each passing day.  In the last year, you went from standing while holding on to something to literally running everywhere. You moved from our room in a crib to sharing a room with Drew and having your very own twin bed. You started two day a week preschool. You have enough hair for a little ponytail!! You are very opinionated on what to wear. You love shoes.  You love your Grammy and Pa days, especially when you get to "drive"the gator and check the chickens and cows.  And if the phone rings, you are convinced its Naggy and Pappy calling just for you!

Your relationship with your siblings is so fun to watch. You look up to Drew so much. You mimick him in all he does, drive him nuts, love to nap in his bed and when you are tired in the car still want to hold his hand while you drift off to sleep.

In true sister fashion, some days you love your Ava and Carli and some days if they even look at you the world falls apart! You may favor Ava on looks but you are definitely just as strong willed as Carli! 

You are still a Momma's girl but you have a special bond with your Daddy. Only he can get you to bed at night and to take 2 hr naps.  And I have a feeling it would not be wise to send you to the store alone with him bc there's no telling what you would come home with just bc he can't tell you no!

What a blessed year it has been to watch you grow! And while your temper is short and your patience non existent, your giggle is contagious and freckles simply irresistible! I love you more than words can express!

Happy 2nd birthday to my strong willed, freckled face, oh so sweet yet volatile Maggie Reese!   You bring spunk and excitement to each day and oh the sass! The quote, "I'm not responsible for what my face does when you talk" fits you to a T.  Bring on the terrific twos...I'll be optimistic. 😁

Dentist Woes

Drew LOVES going to the dentist...that may change next month when he has to go back to get his fillings.  :/  He has to have 4...all on baby teeth and in the back.  After being spoiled by the older girls good luck with their teeth...it seems Drew may have gotten the bad end of the teeth genetics.  

That 4th child...

This kid...I guess I've been lucky to have had 3 older kids who didn't climb. No worries...Maggie makes up for all those carefree years. I also never had to worry with baby proofing anything...then there came Maggie. If I'm gray or bald next time you see me...its her fault.
