Virus Number 9,489

Have I mentioned how exhausting it is to have a toddler who cannot tell you what's wrong get a stomach virus.  Bless him, he just projectiles and cannot stop for up to two hours.  We love Zofran.  We are tired.

Have I mentioned how much we love Zofran?  Drew got sick on Wednesday after he had a great day at Mawmaw's and took a great nap.  After surviving the initial round of vomiting, we got him to keep Zofran down and he was okay with life again.  He had great fun pushing around his dump truck in the doll stroller!

We sent the girls to stay with Grammy Thursday night and I lolled the heck out of everything trying to make sure no one else got sick.  Drew meanwhile thoroughly enjoyed the one on one constant attention!

I thought we had actually beat this virus but on day 8 at 11 pm the following Wednesday while Keith was out of town, Drew threw up again and it was bad.  I was traumatized to say the least.  I pulled an all nighter and Grammy came to rescue me the next day.  After talking with the doctor they think he has a weak gag reflex so when he has a lot of drainage, he may tend to vomit more.  Great.  I guess it's better than a stomach virus...I'm tired.

Just Waiting

Sometimes Stryker really misses his little people, so he waits patiently for them to come home from school in one of their favorite places to play!

Family Reunion 2017

Despite Drew not feeling 100%, we had a great time at the annual King Family reunion.  It was a smaller crowd but that just means it was more intimate and we were able to visit with everyone!

Uncle Danny presented an awesome slideshow about Pawpaw's older brother James King.  It was really neat to learn about who he was through the old letters he wrote while he was serving.  He died overseas during WWII.

The kids had a great Easter egg hunt - this year I think I managed to NOT bring home as many eggs as we took.  There's a blessing! ha!

Top Row:  Carli, Weston, Emily, Ava and Eady
Bottom Row:  Drew and Logan holding Colton

On your mark...

Drew filled his basket up...then dumped it all out.

Carli found the money egg this year!

After the regular egg hunt was done, it was time for confetti eggs!  I think the kids had more fun chasing Pa then they did chasing eachother!  Thankfully Pa was a good sport!

Drew even managed to break a confetti egg on Pa!

Drew worked really hard at getting all the confetti off his daddy!

Then while everyone else visited, Drew popped bubbles in the air conditioning.

And before we went home, Drew passed back down some of his toys he had outgrown to Colton.  Funny, he got more use out of this walker pushing Colton around than he did when he was small enough to fit in it!

Be Pretty

Ava always asks me to leave her messages on her chalkboard by her bed - today, I told her to be pretty.

Drew and Kitty Tom

This cat drives me nuts because he sneaks into the house to catch a nice cool nap.  But it turns out, Drew has some special hounding skills of his own...wherever Kitty Tom is, Drew is sure to find him!  It kind of ruins the cats grand nap plans!  He sure is patient with Drew and it makes it easier to forgive him for sneaking into my house!

Sassy Slugger Easter Egg Hunt

We did not have an Easter Egg hunt at school this year but that's okay because we got to have one with our softball family!  Drew was pretty stoked about all the eggs!  He "helped" fill each and every one!

The girls had their normal Sunday Practice but then it was time for some fun!

Little brothers got to "hunt" in the batting cages...

After it was all said and done, we may have come home with more eggs than we took.  :/  Carli even found one of the golden eggs!

After egg hunting it was time to eat!  We had a great time visiting with everyone and eating some really yummy food!

We are very thankful for our softball family and the friends we have made!

Aggie Softball

Saturday, we went to Aggieland.  Voluntarily!  Crazy right?  But some of the girls from Carli's softball team were going to watch the Aggie's play Oklahoma State and asked if we wanted to go.  We were surprised with the girls said yes!  So we went.  The car ride there was the longest part of the trip but we managed with a pit stop or two and a whole lot of singing and finding tractors and cows for Drew!

I was very surprised that the girls actually watched the game.  It was a good game to watch.  Lots of hits and plays.  The Aggies run ruled Oklahoma.  And I have to admit, the Aggie softball girls did an amazing job of making the time and effort to meet their little fans.

After playing an awesome game, they came out of the locker room and were bombarded by a crowd of little softball players. They each took time to talk to the girls signing balls and taking pictures. Our girls were in awe and as parents, we were so thankful to these older girls for not only being awesome players on the field, but awesome role models off the field.

So while we aren't normally Aggie fans, today we became Aggie Softball fans because these girls helped to make the game of softball a little more fun and real for our little softball girls!
