When our neighbor messaged us to say they were cutting the trees down across from our house, all we could think about was at least we were going to get neighbors out of the deal. Turns out we didn't. The owners of the empty lots in our neighborhood decided to clearcut the lots to get money from the timber. :( They'd have made more money if they simply come off their asking price. So now our view is not so pretty and to make matters worse they just left the mess of stumps, limbs and branches. It does not look pretty at all. :(
The only bright note was that Drew thoroughly enjoyed waking up from his nap to sit on my desk to watch "Pa's" trucks work. He is usually very cranky waking up from naps so it was a nice break from the usual 30 minutes of whining we typically endure!
