Jump Rope for Heart Thank Yous

The girls raised enough money for them each to turn in $250!  They were so excited that they asked about sending thank you's to all the folks that helped them reach their goal.  So, we broke out the paint and made some thank you notes!

Drew's New Hat

When Mom doesn't realize how warm it is outside and takes a baby to a softball game for a couple hours and said baby has no hair...we resort to wearing our pants on our head in order to prevent a head sun burn...whatever works.

Double Duty

We look forward to our Friday night meals with Pa and Grammy.  First we eat burgers at Legends then we go to Sweet Frog for some frozen yogurt.  The kids LOVE getting to see their grandparents and we LOVE watching them all interact.  Drew is getting quite good at conversations with Pa!  :)

No Nap Wednesday

I usually get Drew to sleep by nursing him.  Not a good habit but by the third kid, you do what you gotta do...but I did not get the memo that we weren't napping today...

After failed attempt number 1, we waited an 1.5 hrs and tried again.  It ended like this...

Okay fine, lets make a Sonic run and surely you'll go to sleep in the car...

First Trip to the Airport

It was that time of year again to meet with our Japanese counterparts.  The airport worked out so well last time we decided to meet there again.  The only catch this year is that I had Drew...who refuses to take a bottle.  So Grammy and Drew got to come to DFW Admiral's club too!  :)

Drew actually did great.  He and Mom stayed in the kids area of the admirals club and I'd go out and feed him.  He even did really well going up to Dallas, but the ride home was a bit too much to ask of him and he let us know exactly what an injustice it was!  :)

And he may have smirked a little when we stopped for an early dinner just to give all our ears a little relief from the screaming!

Final Basketball Games

We played our last two games of the season on Saturday.  We had the very first game of the day and then the very last game of the day.  While this season has been challenging on many fronts, we were glad we had the experience and it was very much a learning curve for us all both as new little basketball players and being parents on the sidelines.  Will we play again? Probably.  We will handle some situations a little better and who knows maybe this parent will volunteer to coach.  Ava would gladly sign up again and Carli will gladly play ball at home but take a little more encouragement to play on the court with her peers once more!  :)

Sunday Sibling Picture

It's a good day when everyone is fed, dressed and ready for church on time. No tears were shed over outfits or hair styles and the biggest disagreement of the morning was who was strong enough to hold baby brother for a picture!

Bubbles for Drew

Drew is getting old enough that he can sit really well on his own and he LOVES to be outside.  Put the boy outside and give him some bubbles and we might actually get a little work done!  :)

On this day we got our potatoes planted!  This is the first time we've done potatoes.  We are going to try to do the mounding method and add a little dirt to the plants as they grow.  Maybe by the end of the season we'll have boards all the way up those post and underneath all that dirt will be full of potatoes!

The Best Babysitter

I recently discovered that Drew can sit up well enough to hang out in the kitchen sink and play with the faucet which in turn provides enough time for me to accomplish the daily task of cooking.  Seriously, so far this has been the best toy yet that keeps him happy, entertained and even elicits a few giggles of delight!  :)

When not found in the kitchen sink, you can often find Drew going round and round in circles in the office pulling papers out of the trash can, playing with his ball popper and squealing!  He will stay entertained for a bit unless I have the audacity to sit down at the computer to attempt to work.  But if I'd like to unload the dishwasher or better yet, clean out the kitchen sink for him to play in...well, he can tolerate that!  :)

Hi! Today we decorated Ms. Roxie's driveway. She had a rock driveway so we made special paint to put on the road. On the way home, I wen...
