My best friend from college came down a couple of weeks ago and brought her sister with her. Amber and Misty both went to ACU and became adopted into our family. Since their home was in CA, going home at breaks wasn't an option so they came to our family gatherings. Hard to believe we've been out of school for over 6 years - that Misty lives in New Zealand and that Amber still lives in Texas despite her sworn promises that she wouldn't stay here long!
We had planned our day for over a month but it just so happened that the day we had planned also was the day that it was decided to bring Hospice in for Pawpaw. That didn't discourage Amber and Misty from coming though. Seeing as to how Grandma and Pawpaw were just as much a part of their lives for four years as any of the rest of us were, they were anxious to visit with them dispite the circumstances.

Carli and Ava didn't have any qualms about Misty and Amber. They each adopted a sister and pretty much I was not needed! :) ha! Carli and Misty had fun looking at bugs and running through the grass stirring up the grasshoppers...
While Amber bounced Ava and got her to take a nap...twice! 
We all went to eat some Texas BBQ before Misty and Amber had to head back to the metroplex.
We were very blessed to have gotten to see Misty and Amber even if it was just for a short period of time!
