Our Uncle Tone

Let me tell you about one special fella -

My little brother has always had a special place in my heart. I can remember in high school, he and I driving to Rusk simply to get a Sonic Dr. Pepper singing a long to the radio and having a good time. He is 5 years younger than I am, but has always been a wonderful friend and brother to me.

When our nephew was born in 2007, Uncle Tone was quick to get to the hospital to get some of the first video footage of our wonderful little Logan. He then set out to make the cutest video that documented Logan's first few weeks. He couldn't make it to see Carli when she was born, that didn't stop him. He gave specific instructions to take video and proceeded to make sure we remembered the laptop so that we could skype from the hospital. And on Carli's first birthday, he presented Carli with the best present, a video that documented her first year.

When we found out we were pregnant with Ava - the original due date was actual May 15th, Uncle Tone's birthday. It later got moved back, but it just so happened we were induced on the 14th one day shy. Uncle Tone made an amazing video of Ava's birthday and posted it for everyone the day after she was born! Amazing he is.

He is an awesome Uncle. He wrestles with Carli and Logan and he will hold Ava and sing silly songs to her to try to calm her down. He drives across San Antonio to pick up my finds on Craigslist. He calls and checks in on the girls. He is just one sweet fellow and we are so very lucky to have him.

All that was spawned b/c I had this picture of he and Ava together just after he got through singing a song entitled "Stumpy Legs" to her and well, I just had to share what a blessing Uncle Tone was to us!
