We got to spend Labor Day at the lake with most of our family. Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Johnny, Grandma, Aunt Betty, Uncle Cleaon, Dionna, Ron, Weston, Grammy, Pa, Uncle Tone and Uncle Andy were all there. It was nice to have a relaxing day of doing much of nothing.
Isn't funny how you take normal every day stuff for granted. I snapped the picture below with my phone as Grandma was "reading" a book to the great grandkids. I was so lucky to capture a laugh on Grandma's face. This was on Monday, Sept 2. On Thursday, Sept 5 Grandma suffered a massive stroke. I will treasure this picture always. Grandma is still in the hospital but she is paralyzed on her right side and unable to talk. Labor day turned out to be a pretty special day for a lot of us.
After we had all enjoyed our lunch the kids all insisted on swimming so we spent the majority of the rest of our day in the lake.
Anthony's dog Cato has way too much energy. When he figured out he could run through the water and not have to swim, he entertained us all!
Carli and Ava spent a lot of time digging up shells from the bottom of the lake. The smaller the shell the happier the girl!
Grammy came to join in on the fun in the water and she and Ava worked a bit on floating on her back.
Labor day was a special day spent with special people. We all enjoyed the memories made and treasure them closely.
