Pappy retired at the end of the year and Naggy threw him a surprise retirement party. Logistically we could not all get up to Amarillo and back in time for our Christmas with the King side of the family. So, Carli and Keith ended up going and Ava, Drew and I had a little staycation.
Carli had a GREAT time. She got to see snow, eat cherry donuts, paint her nails and helped serve pizza at Pappy's party!
Ava had just about as much fun as Carli did! She got to sleep in Momma's bed, play her kindle at a restaurant (we usually don't allow them to do that!), go on a Taco Bueno date, get a Great American Cookie, take multiple bubble baths, watch TV and be the ONLY big sister! :)
We also decided to introduce the kittens to the outside world. We had kept them in the shop for a couple of weeks to get them acclimated to their new home. Turns out the first thing the kittens do...go up a tree!
Drew it turns out...likes to sleep in Momma's bed too!
