Galvaston Vacation: Moody Gardens

Monday afternoon we went to Moody Gardens.  We really wanted to see the butterflies and had hoped that they would be super active and land on the girls.  Both girls are really into butterflies and get really excited to see just one.  So the thought of showing them lots and lots was pretty exciting.

We went to go get our tickets and they were showing a 4D show of Dora and Diego.  We didn't go to the show but the girls were excited to take a picture with Dora!

The butterfly exhibit was in the Rainforest.  It was hot.  :)  The girls were pretty good sports condiering the heat and humidity!  They even walked most of the trip.  They weren't fans of the snakes but the enjoyed finding fish, frogs and even some monkeys.

The butterflies were a bit of a disappointment.  There were lots of them but they were not very active which was a bummer.  But the girls got to see some big turtles and fish so they were pleased!

On our way to the Aquarium, the girls actually wanted to have their picture taken with the "frogs."  Cutest frogs I saw all day!

The Aquarium was a lot of fun and a whole lot cooler than the Rainforest!  The seals were crazy active and the girls enjoyed getting to see them above and below the water.  Carli kept telling us which ones were the Momma, Daddy and baby seals.  :)

We enjoyed seeing the penguins.  They were really active too!  I was able to actually get in a couple pictures as proof that I do exist.  :)

We really enjoyed Moody Gardens and Uncle Danny is a great tour guide.  He just goes with the flow and it doesn't bother him if we only spend an hour and a half at both exhibits combined.  We enjoyed ourselves and I think that is all he really cared about.  :)  Gotta love him!
