After missing three days of school, Carli thought she was up to going to school because she COULD NOT miss her field trip! So, Keith got her to school and Ava and I met the bus at Caldwell Zoo. Our little group consisted of Amari, Carli, Shiloh, and Izzy plus the two tag along siblings (Ava and Sadie).
We basically walked around and saw all the animals. I like Caldwell Zoo b/c it is just big enough to see lots of things but not totally wear you out!
The tigers and lions were all rather active to the delight of all the kids. We really liked the white tiger.
After we snapped this picture, Carli looked at me and asked if we could go home now. Poor girl ran out of energy and excitement.
We managed to eat lunch with her class but then I am pretty sure Carli had a fever so we had to bow out and go home. It took Carli the rest of the weekend to get back to her normal little self. But I think she was glad she got to at least go on her first field trip with her class, even if we just made it half the day!
