We are discovering that Troup Elementary seems to have an annual tradition with each grade. In Kindergarten it was a huge Thanksgiving Feast. In 1st Grade it was the annual Christmas Play. And now in 2nd Grade it's going to see a live play and having a luncheon.
Carli was so excited about the play and luncheon. This year they went to see the Cat and the Hat play in Longview. Carli had her clothes picked out on Sunday...they didn't go to the play until Tuesday! :)
The parents planned the luncheon. It was a pretty big deal. Unfortunately I didn't get to help set up or be there b/c Keith was out of town and wouldn't you know, I had a sick kid. Carli took it in stride and was okay with Mrs. Courtney taking pictures for me! Mrs. Shofner sent me a picture for the play. :)

Carli said they ate bowtie pasta and had awesome Cat in the Hat cookies. But her favorite part, the garlic bread! Ha! I'm not sure what she's being amazed by in this picture. I actually was looking at pictures other parents had posted on Facebook and saw her in the background. Clearly she was amazed!
