Family Vacation Here We Come!

We all enjoyed our family vacation so much last year we decided we would build on that experience.  Last year Uncle Danny graciously invited us to share his time share for a few days in Galvaston.  This year we decided to get a beach house the same week Uncle Danny was there and invite the Grandparents to come with us.  We left bright and early Saturday morning so that we could meet Naggy and Pappy when the flew into Houston.  We got to Houston about the time we got a text that they were delayed for a couple hours so we detoured to visit Dionna at work to kill a little time.

The girls working on a sticker book we made for the trip.

Naggy and Pappy finally flew in and after lunch we all drove into Galvaston.  Go figure the girls fell asleep and missed the first glimpse of the ocean.  We stopped and got groceries and were off to find our Beachhouse.  We were very pleased with the location and the house.  We were just off the San Luis Pass.  The beaches were not crowded and we had another beach that had some awesome seashells.  The mosquitoes were like small birds and there were a lot of them!  But that was nothing a little repellent could not fix!

After we all unloaded and got settled we walked down to check out the beach.  Carli's reaction to the water was about the same as last year.  She was really reserved at first but she warmed up to it really quickly.

We should have learned from last year and put a swim suit on Ava...she was soaked within a minute.  But she thoroughly enjoyed herself!

Day One of our Vacation ended on a good note when Uncle Tone arrived.  For a travel day, our first day of vacation was awesome, and promised a fun six days to come!
